User Guide: How to Use the Generator

Step 1: Open the Application

  1. Copy the HTML code above and save it to a file named index.html on your computer or server.
  2. Double-click index.html or host it on any standard web hosting provider (such as GitHub Pages, Netlify, or Vercel).

Step 2: Input Business Information

Fill out the Configuration Parameters form on the left/top side of the screen:

  • Legal Entity Name: Enter your registered company or product name (e.g., Acme Technologies Inc.).
  • Platform Type: Select whether your policy applies to a Website, Mobile App, SaaS, or E-Commerce Store.
  • Platform URL: Add your full platform address (e.g., [https://example.com](https://example.com)).
  • Support Email: Enter the contact address users should email regarding legal inquiries.
  • Governing Jurisdiction: Enter your applicable state and country (e.g., State of California, USA or Ontario, Canada).

Step 3: Toggle Operational Features

Check or uncheck the boxes according to what your platform offers:

  • User Accounts: If users can register, log in, or hold accounts.
  • User Content: If users can upload photos, comments, text, or files.
  • Paid Subscriptions / Purchases: If you charge users for digital or physical items.
  • Auto-Renewing Subscriptions: Enables recurring billing clauses.
  • Third-Party Links: Protects your platform if you link out to external websites.

Step 4: Export Your Document

  1. Click Generate Terms & Conditions.
